At Sanibel Arms Condominiums, free boat docking is available beside the dockside condos for those guests who choose to enjoy the water in their own way. If you don’t already have a boat of your own, or don’t have it with you, there are many boat rentals offered on and near Sanibel Island. There are also a wide variety of charter and sightseeing cruises in just about every direction you head. If you dream of being out on the open water, your dreams can come true during your stay with Sanibel Arms Condominiums.

Tarpon Bay Explorers- Providing nature tours and rentals, Tarpon Bay Explorers offers great rentals on pontoon boats. They describe their pontoons as “a relaxing way to explore the 950 acres of pristine waters of Tarpon Bay.” They suggest you bring the whole family or workgroup and spend the day fishing or sightseeing in the mangrove estuary. The pontoon boats measure 20 feet and can accommodate up to 8 people. They are handicap-accessible and come equipped with bimini top, trim and tilt motors, cooler with ice, live well, and ample storage. Fishing gear, live bait, fishing licenses, and guides/Captains are also available. No boating experience necessary. They offer half or full-day rental options. Kayak, motorized kayak, canoe, standup paddleboard, and bike rentals are provided as well.

Royal Shell Port Sanibel Marina- At Port Sanibel Marina, you can find quite a few types of rentals. They offer everything you need for a day of fun in the sun on The Gulf. Boat rentals are available to rent for a half-day, full-day, or a full week. Boats available include 26′ Pontoon, 24′ SouthWind, 23′ Cobalt Bow Rider, 20′ Grady White Bow Rider, 20′ Grady White Center Console, and 23′ Azure Deck Boat. There is even the option of delivery. It is only $200.00 round trip or $100.00/way to bring your rental to the outer islands of Sanibel and Captiva. Along with boat rentals, kayak and canoe rentals are offered. Eco-tours are provided through Larry's Lagoon.

Charters and Sightseeing Tours

Adventures in Paradise- This rounded experience truly makes for an adventure. Inviting all to come cruise with them for fishing, shelling & lunch excursions, sea life encounters, dolphin watches, and sunset dolphin cruises. Adventures in Paradise boasts how guests can, “Cruise to the outer islands which are only accessible by boat!  Watch Dolphins at play, shell along pristine beaches, enjoying nature that only a few have the opportunity to experience. Shelling, along with environmental education, is led by our Marine Biologist.”  They assure a fine fishing excursion with year-round Jack, Mackerel, Cobia, Pompano, and Spotted Sea Trout. Adventures in Paradise provides beach chairs, umbrellas and water toys, reservations required. They have so much covered, you can even hop on the Adventures In Paradise trolley for the Historical Trolley Tour of Sanibel Island.

Gulf Coast Marine Excursions- A private charter service, their mission is “to expose the natural beauty of Southwest Florida to visitors and locals alike.” Gulf Coast Marine Excursions are serving Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Cape Coral, Captiva Island, and Bonita Springs. Their charters include a fishing license, bait and tackle, the cleaning of your catch, and a cooler and ice. Wildlife tours include a cooler and ice and tops for shade, as with all boats and tours. On the wildlife boat tours, you can see dolphins, manatees, osprey, sea turtles, bald eagles, and more. These tours stop at all of the “wildlife hot spots” along the way. This includes the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, Blind Pass, Redfish Pass, North Captiva, Captiva Pass, Cayo Costa State Park, and Boca Grande.
